ARCO’s Rights and/or withdrawal of consent

You or your legal representative may use any of the access, rectification, cancellation or opposition’s rights (hereinafter “ ARCO’s Rights”), as well as withdraw your consent for the handling of your personal information by sending an e-mail to ITESM’s Personal Information Department to the e-mail address

Your request will be performed when filling an application to use ARCO Rights and Withdrawal of Consent (hereinafter the “Application”), such Application is available at and contains all the elements to procure your use of such rights and/or withdraw your consent under applicable rules.

In order for ITESM’s Personal Information Department to be able to follow up your request, you or your legal representative, shall properly provide evidence of your identity, for which it is necessary to complete all fields indicated in the Application, and to attach a copy of any of the official identifications mentioned below:

  • ID issued by the Federal Electoral Institute (Credencial del Instituto Federal Electoral).
  • Passport.
  • Mexican Military Service Card (Cartilla del servicio Militar Nacional).
  • Professional ID Card (Cedula professional).
  • Mail ID Card (issued by SEPOMEX-For its acronym in Spanish: Servicio Postal Mexicano) [Cartilla de identidad postal (expedida por SEPOMEX)].
  • Academic Certificate or transcripts.
  • Health ID Card issued by IMSS (For its acronym in Spanish- Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social).
  • Health ID Card issued by ISSSTE (For its acronym in Spanish- Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales para los Trabajadores del Estado).
  • Legal document evidencing the legal residence of the foreigner in the country.
In the event that the information provided by you in the Application is false or insufficient, or if the corresponding identity documents are not included, the Personal Information Department, within five (5) business days following the receipt of the Application, may ask you to provide all the elements or documents needed for its process. You will have ten (10) business days to fulfill the requirement from the date following your receipt. If no response is given in such term the corresponding application will be deemed as not filed.

The Personal Information Department will inform you the adopted resolution in a term not to exceed twenty (20) business days from the Application’s receipt date, so that upon approval it will be effective within fifteen (15) days following the communication of the response. The response will be delivered electronically to the e-mail address specified in the Application.

Limitation of the use and/or Disclosure of your information

You may limit the use or disclosure of your personal information by sending a request to ITESM to the e-mail address Should your request be accepted, it will be recorded in ITESM’s exclusion list.  You may contact ITESM’s Protection of Personal Information Department for further information.

Use of tracking technologies in our Websites

ITESM uses several technologies to improve the efficiency of its websites, including its experience when navigating such sites. Among these technologies is the use of cookies. The cookies are small amounts of information stored in the navigator used by each user in order for the server to recall certain information that may be used in the future. This information allows identifying the user and save his/her personal preferences to provide a better navigation experience.

Likewise, ITESM may collect the following information through its website:

  1. Identity information.
  2. Information related to your navigation preferences.
  3. Information related to your IP, type of operative system, type of navigator, and visited websites.
These technologies may be disabled following your Internet’s navigator procedures.

The Department will provide you with the necessary assistance for the use of your ARCO Rights and/or withdrawal of consent and/or limitation-disclosure of your personal information. Furthermore, it will ensure the protection of your personal information within the organization.
