Tec de Monterrey researchers discover that stem cells in ALS patients can mutate into cells with neural potential

A group of Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine and Health Sciences professors conducted research with 13 patients diagnosed with ALS. Stem cells were taken from each and after 48 hours of lab incubation, the scientists saw a surge in neural proteins. Ver más

With their 3-D model of the Palacio de Minería, Tecnológico de Monterrey alumni David Gómez and Ricardo José Pfeiffer took first prize in the Historical Monument category of the 'Put Mexico on the Map' contest held by the National Anthropology and History Institute (INAH) and Google Mexico.
