Tecnológico de Monterrey and CFE agree to collaborate on training and research

Tecnológico de Monterrey President Salvador Alva and Comisión Federal de Electricidad General Director Enrique Ochoa signed an agreement for collaborative training, consulting, and applied research which also contemplates scholarships for CFE employees and internships for undergraduate and graduate students.

The Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of carrying out applied scientific research and technological development projects, as well as specialization and continuing education programs in the field of energy.

The agreement, signed March 11 at the Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Government and Public Transformation's Auditorium will allow them to join forces to achieve highly trained engineers and technical personnel that will contribute to consolidate a more productive, efficient, and environmentally friendly power utility.

On the other hand, Tec de Monterrey students will be able to round out their studies with practical, hands-on experience, while CFE employees will be able to learn about new technology breakthroughs in the electricity sector.

This agreement is part of the Tecnológico de Monterrey's Energy Initiative, which seeks to focus the private university's efforts strategically in order to strengthen the energy sector and contribute to making it more competitive in the country through Training, Consulting, and Research.
